The research domains of the institute are composed of the research and design of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) technology; the research and design of microprocessor, embedded system and intelligent processing system of images; the research and design of the large scale communication system’s simulation and Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC); the design of signal and information processing ASIC; the research and design of digital, analog and mixed signal consumptive ASIC, etc. The aims of the institute are to construct an advanced IC design scientific research and teaching platform by cooperating with EDA software companies, IP providers and Foundries that own advanced technology and dedicate themselves to exploiting and fostering China’s market; to raise Shandong Province’s IC design technology level and to promote industry development and construct an talent cultivate base by associating with enterprises, scientific research agencies and the colleges at home and abroad.
